The Well-Being Trailblazer Awards for 2022: A Look Back

The 2022 Well-Being Trailblazer Awards were held at the WELCOA Summit in Chicago on August 30th, 2022. The event was co-hosted by Archetype and WELCOA to honor and celebrate organizations that have developed innovative products and services that positively influence employee well-being.

Judges from Comcast, UPMC, and Oracle joined Archetype and WELCOA to select Brightside, Koa Health, meQuilibrium, and Vida Health were selected as Well-Being Trailblazer awardees from the pool of highly qualified applicants. Applicants were evaluated based on their ability to excel in the following areas:

Measurable Impact – Through workplace health, the organization has tangibly touched at least 1 million workers in areas such as, but not limited to, positive behavior change, education, evolving customer demands, strategy creation, data insights, resilience, and illness management.
Innovative Vision – The company demonstrates thought leadership that goes above and beyond what is anticipated in the industry, and it has a clear, mission-driven vision for its future role in workplace health.
Market Leadership – With a clear grasp of what differentiates them from the competition, the company offers the best-in-class solution in their field.
Achievement and Growth – The company can use data to illustrate the effects of its employee-centric solutions, and it has a distinct development trajectory.

All four of these award winners provide distinctive wellness services with noble motives.

In a panel discussion moderated by WELCOA CEO Sara Martin and Archetype CEO Chetan Bagga, executives from each Trailblazer organization exchanged views on market challenges and growth opportunities to an audience of well-being professionals. The Well-Being Trailblazer Awards feature a People’s Choice Award each year, where audience members vote on the Trailblazer they believe is making the biggest impact on workplace well-being.

This year, the People’s Choice Award was given to Brightside in recognition of their outstanding work in enhancing the financial security of working families and underserved communities.
